[discuss] Questions regarding business sector participation

Dave and colleagues,

Like many business entities/associations, we do not publicly post the membership fees for the BASIS initiative and doing so has not been approved by BASIS members, so I am not at liberty to do so.
If anyone from business is interested in joining BASIS they can contact me directly and I can provide them with the necessary information to consider joining.

You didn't answer the question " Precisely how much does it cost for large and small members?" I asked before. How much is the "sliding scale".

Obviously, a "multi-stakeholder organization" in policy wants to be transparent about that. I'm sure I don't have to remind you how the leaders of 1Net have urged transparency on all.

  If the fee is proportionate to income, I believe Fast Net News will want to join and I will urge other businesses to do so. In fact, let this note be my request to join.

Also, are the decisions of BASIS - including the nominations for the positions here - made by staff of BASIS such as yourself, a board, or ...?

There is a sliding scale fee structure approved by the membership and developed with the membership and ICC leaders.

I apparently confused the fees for ICC with what it costs to be involved with the BASIS effort. Precisely how much does it cost for large and small members?

Also, is there a board that determines the policy for BASIS or is it primarily the staff?
