I can comment why the para on EC is both useful and needed,in my personal view. Others will chime in, undoubtedly.

There are different views on whether it has started, what examples exist, whether it only states or also other stakeholders who engage
In EC. 

There is a MS working group that is doing an analysis. Some on these lists are part of the WG, or following .

Facts are our friend, regardless of which view is held. The work of the analysis and identifying Gaps, and then how to address them is ongoing. 

The statement calls for advancing the continued discussion in a multistakeholder fashion. 

NETMundial was a really amazing experience of "practicing 
MS " around a particular set of work items. The Brazilian hosts deserve great appreciation for their organization! 

I think the opportunity ahead is how to further examine what the "statement of Sao Paolo" says and how to continue work, especially at
IGF,  but not only there. 

I know many were in Sao Paolo and many followed remotely.
