I apparently misunderstood you, so it is I who needs to apologise.  I
read your message as implying that the IAB was trying to protect the
status quo where pervasive surveillance was possible.  Since you
apparently did not mean that, as your clarification shows, I withdraw
my message and apologise to you for my misinterpretation.
