Sure, I don't think that in a short time we will find a perfect working model, IETF so far has been working acceptably well and has more longevity, track record and productive outcome than other models.
Probably many people will not like the techie taste and the lack of "formal" representation, but afaik 1net was being marketed as a platform for an open discussion. Not sure why I need to bring my diplomatic credentials to the table for that.
On the other hand we may find many "representatives" that only represent their own interests to advance their career and add another title to their signature block to keep milking from the IG (+I*) ecosystem.
