I can't say I fully understood what either of you just wrote...  To the extent you were saying my email was "ad personam" I think that's a real mischaracterization.  I have no reason to believe that you are anything but wonderful people.  Nor am I dealing in rhetorical tricks -- perhaps dismissing a post with a negative charcterization and asking that it not be responded to in substance could be classified as one, though.

I felt it was fair to note the use of a particular vocabulary, which seems associated with and primarily used by those within a particular movement, that few if any outside that movement seem to understand -- and that this particular usage seems to impede discussions of the very concepts it is intended to describe.

I suppose ICANN and those who participate in it could be accused of the same thing, especially if ICANN wasn't the central subject that it is.  However, I think those with that background freely admit that we use a lot of acronyms and jargon, are happy to help decode it, and for the most part didn't coin it ourselves.
